the campaign is that you are elected then you have to shift gears to governing mode and that is as big a shift as killing a deer in the woods and then having to cook it in the kitchen. the tools that you use to kill the deer are different than the ones you use to cook it and serve it. or at least they better be. we have folks that successfully campaigned but don't seem to have made the transition from the woods to the kitchen. in a campaign there is no compromise or negotiation. no recognitioning of the possibility that some of the other candidates might actually have ideas that are better or at least more palatable than you own. it would be you with whic suico open a campaign by saying i think my opponents is plan is good. governing is like the championship game where everyone is trying to win and no one wants to lose. no one holds one of those offices because he was humble and self-less. there is a room full of ego and the air is still with those who need to validate that what they said in the campaign is real. the ones who succeed understand they will lose some battles but have to l
